Monday Feb 26

Today we start Unit Two

We are going to start with taking a read of the contents of this page. 

If you read the statements/questions and don't know the answer, what can you do?

If you don't understand the questions at all .... what can you do?

In a brief piece of writing, can you do a brief piece of writing to be emailed into the teacher by the end of the class.

Thursday and Friday Feb 23

We finished off Unit One on Friday.

Wed Feb 21

Today we are working on U1A7 and going to participate in the Option Sheet information day, too

We watched a short video on Craig and Mark Kielburger and had a short little written assignment for it.

Tuesday Feb 20

We will also be "going on tour" this week, except for Thursday. When I say that I mean we will be visiting other classrooms to see what they do there, in order to get ready to fill out Option Sheets for Grade Ten.

Thursday Feb 15

Today we worked on the write ups of the Multiple Intelligences online quiz we did the other day. I’m pretty sure it was yesterday, but...I haven’t had my second coffee yet, so I’m not sure about anything.

Right, so the actual assignment title was “U1A5”. We wrote about was whether or not you learned anything about yourself or what you might change. We also walked our way through my results, too. That was kind of cool.

We spent the time together working on the editing and the writing of this assignment.

Tuesday Feb 13

So we took the second day to get the schedules done.

Markers, 8.5 by 11 paper ... visually redid our weeks so we can see where our time goes and where we can do more stuff to improve our lives.

We got done with about 15 minutes left, so I mentioned something that Gary Vee published today on LinkedIn. We also talked about what LinkedIn was, too. In any case, the Garage Sale Challenge is what we will be chatting about tomorrow.

We will also be having a different schedule tomorrow, too.

Monday Feb 12

Well, it was a pretty mellow start to a weird week.

Today we chatted about going to see other classes during period one, in order to help option sheet selections due later on this month.

We also chatted about this guy's day and what it is that we do on the daily.

Friday Feb 9

So we got to use the iPads in this class and did a little bit of research on various people mentioned in the video we watched on Thursday.

I did Jesse Owens and Mark Zuckerberg. Others did Steve Jobs and Oprah Winfrey and Bill Gates.

I thought everything went pretty well.

We also got our report cards and finished class on an up when we talked about next steps for next year

Wed and Thursday Feb 8

Yesterday the busses were cancelled, which means that we still moved forward in my class.

We watched an inspirational and motivational speaker talk about his experiences taking over his family business and how he did it.

Thursday we watched this video and were asked to able to research about two of the people on this video

Monday and Tuesday Feb 6

Monday was a cool start to the class.

Tuesday ... my laptop kept trying to update itself and finally did so.

Man ... eesh. Never click on that update button at work. That is what I learned today.

In any case, we too a look at U1A1 and this article from Gary Veynerchuk, a guy who has made himself to what he is today.
